Set in the heart of the New Forest National Park, Lime Wood hotel is only 1.5 miles from the small town of Lyndhurst and just an hour and a half drive from London.
Laid-back luxury at its best, the hotel offers accommodation in 33 superb rooms, including amazing suites, lodges and cabins overlooking the forest.
Chef Angela Hartnett and Lime Wood’s Luke Holder do the cooking, pulling together both of their much admired signature styles, to create Hartnett Holder & Co, the hotel’s relaxed and stylish Italian restaurant. Hartnett and Holder’s food comes with the much loved Italian approach to eating - where sharing and provenance is everything. The style is chefs’ home-cooked food not chefs’ food cooked for restaurants. Both Angela and Luke are famed for their informal, grounded style of cooking and their respect for local produce.
Designed over three levels, Lime Wood’s Herb House Spa has a massive Sauna and indoor Hydro Pool with stunning forest views, a Mud House, a steaming outdoor Hot Pool, eight spacious single treatment rooms and two magnificent double treatment rooms.
If that’s not enough there’s a state of the art rooftop gym with the very latest Technogym equipment, a 16 metre ozone treated indoor lap pool with glass doors overlooking the garden and a workout studio offering an extensive range of fitness classes. Herb House Spa is a spa dedicated to natural well-being, inspired by its forest surroundings, that instils a sense of calm, well-being and serenity – a serious chilling retreat.

GENEROUS
Generous rooms are al different; they can be found in the Main House, the Coach House and in the Pavilion building. With baths, inviting king sized beds and stunning views across the forest and grounds. The Main House Generous rooms are classic and luxurious in their design, with roll top baths that look out into the forest. The Generous room in the Coach House has oak wood flooring, panelled walls, an open fire and a large balcony looking out onto the forest.
PAVILION LODGE
One of the most extensive and indulgent suites, designed over two floors; with a lounge, fireplace, dining area and outside forest terrace.
FOREST SUITES
These large suites have a mixture of four poster king sized beds or twinned beds. Some of these beautifully decorated rooms are designed over two floors, but all have lounges, some with dining tables, and large en-suite bathrooms with a bath and separate walk in shower. All have views overlooking the grounds, fields and forest.
EAVES
Eaves rooms are tucked away in the rafters of the Main House, they?re comfortable bedrooms with king sized beds, overlooking both the lawns and the fields as well as the gardens and canals with the forest beyond. The bathrooms have fitted bath tubs with overhead showers, the floors are wooden oak and some even have 2 sinks.
SPACIOUS
Based in the Main House and Crescent building these rooms are very comfortable, light and airy, overlooking the lawns, fields and the forest beyond. Most of the rooms have four poster beds and the Spacious Room in the Crescent even has an open fireplace! They all have very large and bright bathrooms with walk in showers and large baths.
FOREST HIDEAWAY SUITES
Forest Hideaway Suites are all located in forest rooms in the grounds and are designed over two floors, with a downstairs lounge, small dining area and cosy fireplace. The bathrooms either have fitted baths with waterfall overhead showers, or a roll top standalone bath and walk in shower. They all have either small private terraces or balconies with stunning views out onto the Forest or across the Lime Wood grounds.
COSY
Cosy rooms are very light and airy with views over the grounds and surrounding forest. The Cosy rooms in the Main House have large fitted baths in front of the window and separate walk in showers. The Cosy room in the Coach House has a fireplace in the room, a small outside terrace looking out onto the forest and the bathroom has a walk in shower.
FOREST LODGES
These are the most extensive and indulgent suites, Crescent 3. Both are on designed over two floors; with a lounge, fireplace, dining area and outside forest terrace.
FOREST CABIN
The Forest Cabin is beside the Forest Cottages and has bags of rustic charm. It?s a cosy ground floor family suite, the master bedroom features a king size bed, en-suite bathroom with free standing bath, monsoon shower and 2 sinks and there are bunk beds with en-suite shower for the kids.
FOREST COTTAGES
Rustic yet sophisticated with stripped oak floors and open fires; warm, unbelievably comfortable and a total escape!
