La Casona Matetic Hotel

Discover La Casona at Matetic Vineyards, a typical, colonial country home, built in the early 20th century and completely restored in 2004, nestled in the Rosario Valley.

The boutique hotel offers personalised services in a privileged location, where guests can experience the wines and terroir that have brought them international fame.

La Casona has 8 spacious en-suite rooms with king beds or two twin beds, central heating, bathroom and private terrace. All rooms have beautiful views of the gardens, park and surrounding vineyards. Max Cummins, a designer and architect of world fame, appointed each room with unique details. 6 of the rooms are standard and one has a Jacuzzi for 2 persons.

La Casona also has a state-of-the-art winemaking facility, the Matetic vineyards winery, constructed so as to complement its glorious setting. In other words, harmony has been reached between the winery's organic agricultural practices and the natural landscape of the valley.

Wine lovers can visit the winery and learn about the different phases of wine production while appreciating stunning views of the vineyards and the beautiful Rosario Valley. Tours include an explanation of the biodynamic process that the winery employs to yield wines that truly express their origins. Matetic wines are produced following biodynamic principles, with 100% organic grapes and taking special care of the surrounding environment.

A visit to La Casona and Matetic Vineyards allows guests to balance the daily toil of life with the serenity of the countryside. To achieve perfect balance, delight in a delicately paired lunch and wine, enjoy a horseback ride or mountain bike ride through the estate, and then relax with a wine tasting at the winery. 

Wine tastings of high-quality Matetic wines can be enjoyed in the wine cellar. Guests can also purchase wine, accessories, and a number of Chilean products in El Emporio store.

Day 2: Breakfast buffet; Outdoor guided excursion (horseback riding, cycling, trekking or scenic tour in van); Four courses wine paired lunch menu
