Tour Overview
This day tour in the Adelaide Hills introduces you to South Australia's oldest wine region which is home to more than 50 wineries. Today, some of Australia's most elegant cool climate wines are produced in this region and 25 cellar doors offer wine tastings.
The first stop will be Mount Lofty Summit, 710 metres above sea level, for breathtaking views of the city’s landmarks and coastline. Afterwards, visit the historic Bridgewater Mill, also known as the Old Rumbler, that still turns today.
Enjoy a break or take a stroll through the village of Hahndorf, Australia's oldest surviving German settlement from the 1840s. There is still a strong German flavour in Hahndorf, most evident in the small goods outlets and German bakeries that line the bustling main street.
You will have lunch at one of three locations depending on availability: The Lane Vineyard, Maximillian’s or Bridgewater Mill, are all top quality restaurants with a beautiful setting. Finally, you will venture on and explore what the rest of the Adelaide Hills has to offer.
