Tour Overview
Join this full-day wine tour to the McLaren Vale wine region, located only 45 minutes south of Adelaide, home to sustainable winegrowing, world-class wines and culinary experiences, as well as pristine natural attractions and unparalleled tourism offerings.
The region's Mediterranean climate continues to drive the region's wine style and diverse food culture. Best known for Shiraz, it also excels in the production of ultra-premium Grenache and Cabernet. Mediterranean varieties such as Fiano, Vermentino, Tempranillo and Sangiovese are also very well suited climatically and provide wine lovers with yet another layer of discovery. Over one third of the cellar doors offer local produce as part of the tasting experience, from high-end, starred restaurants to casual platters, there is a wine and food combination to suit any taste.
You will be picked up from your accommodation at around 10am and welcomed aboard a large comfortable vehicle. After a short 35 minutes you will arrive in the small village of McLaren Vale. A great place to start is the Visitors Centre, for a look at what's going on in the region, a jar of local produce, a look in the gallery, a map and a cup of great coffee.
Next you will be visiting a couple of the 80 odd cellar doors in the region, before stopping for lunch at a full service restaurant, cellar door cafe, pub, or even alocal made platter under a tree. There are many options for lunch which will be discussed to ensure a suitable option is chosen for you.
After lunch, other cellar doors depending on time, a walk along a beach or just a drive around the stunning countryside. You can return home via the beach road or through the rolling foothills of the Adelaide Hills region getting some great views of the city and suburbs. Depending on your time frame, you will be back between 4:30 and 5:00pm.

Cancellation Policy
If confirmed standard departure tour bookings are cancelled the following fees apply
- More than 7 days in advance – 10% of original fee
- 3-7 days in advance – 50% of tour cost
- within 72 hours of commencement – refunds will not be available
If changes are made more than 6 days prior to original booking there is no additional charge.. the rebooked date must be within 2 months.
