Tour Overview
Discover the beautiful Aconcagua Valley on this full-day wine tour in the company of two sommelier guides. You will be visiting three wineries for tours and tastings, plus have time to enjoy lunch en-route.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Santiago, and taken into the foothills of the Andes mountains, a 90-minute drive. You will be accompanied by two expert hosts - a husband and wife team - who know the area and the local winemakers extremely well. Both are sommeliers and WSET trained so feel free to ask them any wine-related questions during your day.
There are three wineries on the schedule today which can include producers such as El Escorial, Errazuriz, Von Siebenthal, San Esteban, Flaherty Wines, Sanchez de Loria, and Almendral.
The wineries chosen to visit will demonstrate the diversity in the region: different sizes and infrastructure levels, production methods, styles of wines, and grape varieties grown. From the very well funded, international partnerships, through boutique producers to small-scale rustic set-ups, you will be offered a cross-section. At the smaller places, you will be touring and tasting with winemakers and owners. You will learn a great deal about higher altitude growing and taste a variety of wines.
During the day there will be stop for lunch, which may be at one of the wineries or at a traditional restaurant nearby depending on the route.
After an informative day, you will be driven back to Santiago and dropped-off at your hotel.
