Tour Overview
With one foot in Asia, another in Europe, Georgia is an ancient land with myths and legends stemming back to pre biblical times. Over the centuries, the rise and fall of many empires has left a civilization that is both fascinating and beguiling. Modernity allows guests to sample ancient wines, savour amazing coffee and food while wellness travellers can soak weary bones in sulphur baths.
In the morning you will visit Alaverdi cathedral, the highest church of Georgia for many centuries.
Then, travel to Kvareli to visit Khareba Winery, where they keep wines in wine tunnels. Take a tour and taste their wines before a visit to the ancient capital of Kakheti province Gremi – now a museum and archeological site.
Continue to Nekresi Monastery, the oldest church of Georgia (4th century AD).
The final stop will be at Mosmieri winery where you can taste Georgian cheese along with their wines before returning to Tbilisi.
