Tour Overview
This private, half day experience is an excellent introduction to the unique wines, beer and spirit produced on the beautiful Greek island of Santorini.
Your first stop is a one-of-a-kind wine museum that is nestled eight metres underground in a 300 metre long cave! It's a wonderfully atmospheric place to learn about wine production in Santorini, get a glimpse into life as a winemaker on the island and sample some of the locally produced wines.
It is then time to taste some local spirits. You will taste home made wine spirit extracts with unique aromas that have been prepared according to a local method in a unique canava (the place where wine was traditionally made and stored).
Final tasting of the day will be in a local beer brewery. You will have a small tour of the facilities and the production area by an expert guide. Seeing the bottling, filtering or tank cleaning process is a regular sight. The tour concludes with a tasting of 6 beers in different styles accompanied with a selection of regional bites.
