Tour Overview
Discover the countryside of Catania with its orchards, olive groves, orange plantations and enjoy typical Sicilian food and wines with this exclusive private tour.
Arriving at the family farm, you will first visit the orange plantation. Walking among orange trees you will learn about the different kinds of citrus fruit and production techniques as well as the various treatments from irrigation to collection. You will also be invited to collect fruits from a citrus grove. The orchards are excellent and you will also see the perfectly preserved palmento (ancient millstone), one of the oldest in the area.
Your sommelier guide will guide you through the history behind the production of each bottle of wine from the time of the pruning to the vendemmia, or harvest, right through to the fermentation and aging process. Discover the tradition of wine production pursued by the family who has owned this farm for generations.
You will enjoy a tasting of 4 typical Sicilian wines accompanied by a traditional Sicilian lunch, local produce black olives, green olives, dried tomatoes, tender mushrooms, salami, Sicilian cheese, Sicilian pestos, marmalades, bread, and sausages cooked in wine.
During the wine tasting and lunch you will discuss how to properly taste wines and how to read labels and there will be time to answer any other questions that you may have. Nothing’s rushed, so you’ll have the time to relax and enjoy.

You can cancel the service free of charge up to 7 days before the date of the service.
We will charge 50% of the entire amount only in case of cancellation without prior communication 7 days before the day of the service or in case of NO show the date of the service.
