Tour Overview
Discover Mount Etna, renown for the superb vines growing on its volcanic soil with this hiking and wine tour.
During the morning you'll hike along a row of extinct craters on the North-East slope of Mt Etna, you'll reach an altitude of 2.000 mt. Your professional guide will led you inside a lava tube, which is a cava formed by lava flowing underground.
Enjoy a delicious savory meal of Sicilian traditional specialties at a winery where you'll also taste some Etna DOC wines locally produced and bottled.
In the afternoon you'll visit a honey producer or a local workshop where you will enjoy a tasting of many different kinds of the excellent honey produced in the area of Zafferana Etnea, a picturesque small village at the foothills of the Volcano.
Please note:
- In case you are not well equipped for the tour on Etna (jackets, shoes etc.) you will be provided with whatever you need to have a comfortable excursion.
- If requested, particular menus for vegeterians or intolerant to specific kind of food and drinks can be offered.
