Bolgheri is one of the newest and smallest, yet very famous wine appellation whose wines are mainly produced with French grape varieties. The very first wine to be made here was Sassicaia, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, followed by Ornellaia, Guado al Tasso, Paleo, Grattamacco and many others.
The aim of this private wine tour is to experience and learn about Bolgheri, its terroir, history and get in touch with local producers, small off the beaten path wineries while savoring amazing wines. The winery visit will give you an idea about their wine making process so you’ll be able to visit the vineyards, the fermentation rooms and then the barrels rooms where this precious wine is aging.
