Tour Overview
The best way to discover the Brunello terroir is on foot. Join this hiking tour in the Montalcino area, for a day filled with magnificent views and amazing wines.
The tour will depart from Florence, where a professional driver will guide you from the Chianti landscape, characterised by vineyards and olive groves, to the Montalcino area, richer in medieval villages and rounded hills.
Upon arrival in Montalcino, immersed in an incredible view and home of the famous Brunello wine, enjoy a wine tasting and appreciate this wine's fantastic aroma.
You will then begin the trek through small forests with unique views, up to a tiny village, where you will visit a historic winery and discover the fantastic alchemy of how grapes magically become wine.
Lunch will have the right combination of food and wine, for an experience that will delight your palate and involve all your senses.
Continue through vineyards that produce Brunello, king of Tuscan wines, immersed in the scents of wild flowers typical of the Mediterranean scrub and you will arrive at a monastery built in 781 by Charlemagne. Among Gregorian music, admire the sobriety, history and uniqueness of the place.
You will then return to Montalcino and finally to Florence by car.
Please note: Hiking shoes, hat, sun cream and comfortable clothes are strongly recommended.
