Private Winery and Wine Museum Tour in Macedonia

On this one-day tour, you will have a chance to taste some stunning wines, such as the powerful Vranec, the aromatic Temjanika and the rare Stanushina, along with many others, all paired with delicious traditional cuisine on visits to three of Macedonia's most popular wineries and a wine museum.

Your host for the day will pick you up from a location of your choosing in Skopje in the morning and will take you from one winery to the next across the biggest and most famous wine region in the country, the Tikves wine region.

In each winery, you will be hosted by a sommelier guide who will walk you around the winery cellars and show you all the steps in the wine-making process before you get to taste some lovely and authentic Macedonian wines.

The first stop of the tour will be Stobi Winery, located in Gradsko. It is the most modern and second biggest winery in Macedonia. Here you will taste 4 different wines paired with a platter of their finest cheese and prosciutto.

The second stop will be the Museum of Wine which is located in the centre of Demir Kapija. Here you will be hosted by a guide who will walk you around the museum and explain all about Macedonian wine history, tradition and viticulture.

The third stop will be Popova Kula Winery, an amazing castle winery located in the hills of Demir Kapija with stunning views of the vineyards. Here you will taste 4 different wines paired with a platter of their finest cheese and prosciutto.

Finally, you will visit Tikves Winery, the biggest and oldest winery in Macedonia and in Southeast Europe, located in the heart of Kavadarci. In this winery, you will have a delicious three-course lunch with tastings of 4 different pairing wines.
