Tour Overview

Enjoy a private tour of the organic wineries of Marlborough in the comfort of a Mercedes with a knowledgeable guide. Learn about the region and the wines while taking in the beautiful scenery.

Sample Itinerary:

You will pe picked up from your accommodation at 10am.

Your first visit will be at Clos Henri, a French family-owned winery which specialises in Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Learn about how the soil and climate affect the wines. Option of a winery tour at extra cost.

Next, stop at Te Whare Ra, one of the oldest family-run wineries in Marlborough. Meet one of the owners and taste their wines. You will taste Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir and Syrah wines.

There will be a lunch stop at Rockferry Estate and another wine tasting. The Rockferry Estate is a very small family-run winery with 3 vineyards, 2 in Marlborough and 1 in Central Otago. Taste varieties from Method Traditionelle, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gruner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Tempranillo and Pinot Noir.

Then you will discover Huia, another family-owned winery offering a variety of wines to try. They will offer about five wines from Method Traditionelle, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Rose and Pinot Noir.

Fromm winery is quite unusual in Marlborough in that they make more red wine than white wine. Here you can go into the barrel room and then taste a range of their Pinot Noirs and Syrah.

The final stop of the day is at the Makana Chocolate factory. Taste some handmade chocolate and take in the lovely aromas of the kitchen.

You will return to your accommodation at around 4pm.
