Take an impressively scenic road out to the picturesque Southern Coast and drive through idyllic countryside and some of the youngest land in New Zealand.
Your tour will begin with a coffee at the Land Girl Café in an old blacksmith shop in Pirinoa (during the Summer months). Following which you will visit the unique Ngawi fishing village and meet Babe the pink bulldozer and hear how she plays a vital part in the fishing fleet.
Marvel at the weird and wonderful rock formations caused by the strong Cook Strait winds and weather and enjoy the great photo opportunities all along this coast.
Meet the seals at the large colony at Cape Palliser before climbing up to the Cape Palliser Lighthouse to enjoy stupendous views over Cook Strait to the South Island.
For lunch enjoy delectable local fare at the Historic Lake Ferry Hotel, famed for its fresh fish and chips, with a glass of award-winning wine.
To complete the tour, you will enjoy a wine tasting at two award-winning vineyards in the Martinborough appellation.
