Day 1: Upon arrival at Lima airport, you will be transferred to your chosen hotel (3-star superior, 4 or 5-star hotel) in Miraflores. Depending on your arrival time, you can either enjoy a colonial & modern Lima city tour, or just spend the evening at leisure.
Day 2: After breakfast, depart to Pachacamac to the south. You will visit the Queirolo hacienda, and vineyards and wine and pisco makers in Pachacamac, and enjoy a wine or pisco degustation. Return to Lima at noon and enjoy a delicious typical Peruvian welcome lunch in El Bolivariano Peruvian restaurant (belonging to the Queirolo wine and pisco makers). The lunch includes pisco sour, water and coffee. In the afternoon, if you arrived late on Day 1 and missed the Lima city tour you will enjoy it now. Otherwise you will have free time in Lima or optional visit to the superb Larco Herrera archaeological museum.
Day 3: In the morning drive south along the Panamericana highway to Ica, lodging in Hotel Viñas Queirolo, surrounded by their vineyards. You will have lunch, followed by a tasting of their Intipalka fine red and/or wines and piscos. In the afternoon enjoy a guided vineyards visit with a sommelier and learn about the different grape sorts cultivated. Spend the late afternoon at leisure enjoying the sunset over the vineyards, or just to relax.
Day 4: Visit two centenary icons of the Peru wine and pisco industry: Hacienda Tacama and Hacienda La Caravedo. First you will visit Hacienda La Caravedo, established in 1684, the oldest distillery in the Americas, now using modern technology to make the best Pisco in the world, Porton Mosto Verde (blend of Quebranta, Albilla, Italia and Torontel) and La Caravedo Premium, a pure Quebranta. Enjoy a 2-hour visit of colonial and very modern pisco distilleries. After a degustation, depart to Hacienda y Bodega Tacama, the oldest vineyard of South America, a beautiful colonial hacienda with an underground wine cellar that is unique in the country (8m under the surface). Enjoy a red and/or white wine and pisco tasting with sommelier. You will have lunch in El Tambo restaurant. In the afternoon, return to the hotel for resting or for optional excursions.
