Tour Overview
Discover the diversity of Portuguese wines on this private 5-day tour. As you journey from Lisbon, through Alentejo and Setubal you will experience a variety of wines, mouthwatering cuisine and warm Portuguese hospitality.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome to Lisbon
Your host will be waiting for you at Lisbon airport to transfer you to your 4-star hotel in the city heart.
Relax and enjoy the city, and later in the afternoon your host will pick-you at the hotel and take you for a Portuguese traditional dinner with Fado.
Day 2: Alentejo Wine Region
Enjoy a journey on the vast plains of Alentejo in the middle of vineyards, cork and olive trees. During the tour you will visit Évora, a city known as an open-air museum, and Estremoz, land of white marble and the most amazing wines.
The day will take you to discover 3 different wineries that produce 3 completely different styles of wines in Alentejo and even have the opportunity to have lunch with one of the wine producers at his own estate.
Day 3: Lisbon wines
The region is vast and this diversity can be felt at each terroir. From the mountains to the Atlantic you will taste different terroirs, revealing the richness of Portuguese wine landscape.
In the small town of Mafra, home to the newest UNESCO World Heritage Monument in Portugal, you will visit a boutique winery that is also a Museum and a “love at first sight” by a grape variety result.
Lunch today will be served at the most western vineyards of Europe! The wine producer will be waiting for you with his best wine secrets, including the amazing and unique sand wine of Colares.
Day 4: Península de Setúbal
Just 30 minutes from Lisbon you will find wines growing between the slope of Arrábida Mountain and the amazing white sand beaches in Setúbal.
The wine tour will start with a regional brunch in one of the most cherished wine families in the region. Taste the famous Moscatel de Setúbal with some of the best cheeses, jams, bread and sausages from the region.
Next, enjoy a drive in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of the region: Arrábida. A traditional lunch will be served right before you visit the last wine producer in this wine land.
Enjoy an amazing dinner in a Michelin-star restaurant.
Day 5: Goodbye Lisbon!
Enjoy a relaxing morning at the hotel or have your own time in the city before flying back home.
