Indulge in the classic pairing of cheese and wine at some of the most legendary wine farms in the Cape Winelands on this small group, half day tour from Cape Town
Visit Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, one of the most beautiful wine farms in the Cape, surrounded by vineyards, majestic mountains and perfectly manicured gardens. Rhebokskloof is renowned for crafting excellent Rhone-style varietals and blends, specialising in Shiraz. Enjoy a tasting of their award-winning wines paired with traditional artisan cheese.
Next stop is Anura Vineyards, positioned on the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountains. As well as producing distinctive, hand-crafted red wines, Anura is home to Forest Hill Cheesery. Production at the cheesery is small in volume and the cheeses are still all made by hand with no machinery involved in the production process. Sample a selection of Forest Hill cheeses, including the signature Anura Mountain Cheese, paired with Anura’s range of wines.
Final stop on the tour will be at Fairview: a working farm with a focus on artisanal and sustainable produce. Take a tour of the cheesery, that produces a range of over 50 cow’s and goat’s milk cheeses, and see Fairview’s famous Goat Tower. This will be followed with a tasting of Fairview’s classic wines, paired with a selection of their delicious cheeses.
