Tour Overview
Experience the flavours unique to South Africa and Cape Town on this full-day foodie tour.
Cape Town is a melting pot of different cultural and ethnic groups that are desperate to share their foodie passion with you. The astonishing variety of food that Cape Town has to offer will enable you to taste the passion the producers have for their craft. The city and surrounds are home to many boutique coffee shops and local restaurants that are bound to get your taste buds tingling.
You will kick start your morning with a visit to an artisanal coffee roaster and stop by Honest Chocolate which uses only the finest raw (unroasted), organic Ecuadorian cacao, making it the perfect accompaniment to your brew.
Next you will take a walk to Frankie Fenner Meat Merchant for some biltong and droëwors, made the South African way!
Following on from this will be a visit to the famous brightly coloured houses of the Bo-Kaap where you will learn about the heritage of the vibrant Cape Malay people after which you will tuck into a Cape Malay selection of samosas and sweet treats (like koeksisters and milk tarts) and visit Atlas Spice Trading to shop for spices to take home.
By this time you are sure to have built up a thirst so a visit to Publik Wine Bar is our next stop for a tasting of local and rare boutique South African wines.
Your day will finish with an exclusive tasting featuring artisanal locally distilled gins, served with the local Fynbos garnish.
