Tour Overview
On this tasty 3-hour tour, you will discover the best tapas bars that only the locals know about in the Alameda de Hercules neighbourhood of Seville. From traditional tapas to tapas with a modern twist, all the places will leave you asking for more. And of course all the tapas will be paired with a good glass of wine. The tour guide will help you discover the aromas and flavours of wines that go well with this Andalucian cuisine.
You will discover Alameda de Hercules area, known for being the most alternative part of Seville, and also the bohemian quarter. In the 1980s this neighbourhood was one of the most troubled in the city. Today, it is a centre for culture and is known as the go-to spot for modern, alternative and non touristic tapas.
First, you will meet your guide in front of the Cinema Alameda. From there, you will explore the area and after a short introduction to the history of the district you will arrive at the first tapas spot. Then, meander through the streets and see a variety of different tapas places, from a loud and lively stand-up tavern to a tranquil, formal sit-down restaurant.
At each of the tapas bars, you will have a drink and a choice of one plate to share, which means that if you are in a group with a few people, you will get to try a dozen different dishes!
Depending on the availability you will be able to try some of the following specialities: Pork Ribs, Mushroom Cake, Salmorejo, Fried Eggplants with Honey, Goat Cheese in the oven, Croquetas, Squid, Solomillo with Goat Cheese, Carrilladas, Capirotes de Langostinos, Gazon (special fish from Southern Spain), Paella, Montadito, Tocino del Cielo.
At the end, you will return to the meeting point.
