This exquisite local wine has taken two hundred years to be perfected, from its beginnings when monks of the area, began cultivating vineyards in the 1300´s.
Winding roads will take you to this remarkable Qualified Denomination of Origin.
Visit two very distinctive but very different wine cellars.
The 1st wine cellar is old and charming and has been making wine for hundreds of years. It is now going back to the methods used in its origins. The monks who lived here revolutionised the region, when they ventured and bottled the first Priorat wine before many others did, hundreds of years ago. They took care of their vineyards in such a way that produced the best quality wine of the region.
You will visit a 2nd wine cellar which is a leading example of innovation and care for the land. Their renowned wines are exported all over the world in a splendid example of small scale wine making. It boasts an environmentally friendly state-of-the-art cellar which only keep their very best grapes for their wine, with vineyards as old as 80 years’ old.
