Tour Overview
Take an adventure through the vineyards of Penedès in a 4x4 jeep with your local wine expert. You’ll visit two wineries and taste 4 excellent wines and 4 glasses of Cava paired with a wide variety of tapas.
Your Wine Tour Itinerary
8:45am – Meet your friendly guide for the day in Barcelona at Passatge de la concepció, 7
9am – You'll set off on your day trip towards the El Penedes wine region. As you drive through the city of Barcelona you will pass by great modernist buildings as you go. Leaving Barcelona you will be driven through the Catalan countryside where you will enjoy beautiful views. As you get closer to El Penedès area get ready for the surrounding views of vineyards!
10am – You've arrived at the Cava winery! Pere Ventura and it's vineyards are ready for you to explore!.
Enjoy a guided tour of the winery with a specialist guide. Visit the cellars where they make the Cava and learn all about the Cava-making process. You will find out about the traditional methods used centuries ago and how the Cava is made today. No winery tour is complete without a tasting! Finish the visit with a wine tasting of 4 of their best Cavas.
Midday – Time to leave the Cava winery and be driven to your next stop of the day at Can Bas.
12:10pm – Visit the Can Bas winery.
It's time for some adventure! Climb aboard a 4x4 JEEP for a drive through the vineyards. This is an experience not to be missed! Your guide will tell you all about the grapes, the terroir and the history of the family who own the vineyard, the Family Ventura.
After your 4x4 experience, it's time to visit the cellars where they make the wine and learn all about the wine-making process. After your tour, you will be invited for a guided wine tasting of 4 of their wines.
2pm – After your wonderful tour at Can Bas it's time for the drive back to Barcelona. You will leave the vineyards of Catalonia with an appreciation for its wines and its rich wine-making history.
3pm – Your tour ends when you arrive back in the centre of Barcelona.
