Tour Overview
Just a short distance from Stufvenäs Country Hotel lies one of Sweden's most unique dining experiences. With the sea in sight and one of Sweden’s largest oak tree’s nearby, you’ll be accompanied by the seabirds’ song and the whisper of the reeds. The scene and indeed the table is set in both a picturesque and historic location you won't soon forget. Taste the flavours of the county of Småland whilst walking among windswept juniper bushes and blooming sloe bushes.
Together with your guide, you'll head off on a hike in this historic and scenic coastal environment. On the hike, which takes about an hour, you will learn more about the area's exciting history, as well as the edible plants and raw materials that can be found in nature.
After the hike you'll move to the table. Together with one of Stufvenäs' talented chefs, you'll then prepare your dinner. The menu is inspired by traditional Småland home cooking of seasonal ingredients.
After eating a tasty meal you find yourself having a good night sleep at Stufvenäs Country Hotel. Dating back to the end of the 18th century, this classic Småland inn offers warmth and care in a harmonious and inspiring environment right next to the sea.
In the morning enjoy breakfast and a final walk in the wonderful surrounding nature before departing.
The weather in Sweden can be unpredictable, especially in spring and autumn. It's important to dress appropriately. Wear lots of layers and bring a waterproof jacket, just in case. Comfy shoes are also a must.
