Winery Overview
Discover Château de Meursault, situated in the heart of Burgundy, in Côte de Beaune on the prestigious appellation of Meursault, which is a global reference for the great white wines.
When you enter the Chateau de Meursault, you find yourself in a mythical Burgundy wine domain, a place full of history where you can taste the wines from Côte de Beaune surrounded by unique architecture. The cellars with superb double arches dating from the 12th, 14th and 16th centuries extend beneath the Château and contain some 800,000 bottles and more than 2,000 barrels.
Since December 2012, the Château de Meursault was acquired by the Halley family, also owners of the Château de Marsannay in Côte de Nuits and Marché aux Vins in Beaune. Over the years, the owners have made extensions and considerably developed the vineyard which became one of the most prestigious domains of the Côte-d’Or. The vineyard extends on nearly 160 acres from Puligny-Montrachet to Aloxe-Corton, including eighteen Premier Crus and three Grands Crus.
Château de Meursault welcomes the lovers of great Burgundy wines for visits and tastings of the Château wines in the monastic atmosphere of the vaults that date back to the 12th century.
Château de Meursault is also a place of sharing and culture. Its reception hall that can hold up to 350 people, welcomes every year the famous Paulée de Meursault, an essential not-to-be-missed event that follows the famous Hospices de Beaune Wines Auctions. Other events such as concerts of classical music or the Banné take place in this hall. It is also possible to organise tastings, seminars, cocktails and dinners for individuals and businesses.
