Winery Overview
Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde is situated in Valpolicella, one of the most prestigious winemaking regions in Italy, has been dedicated to winemaking since ancient times.
Valpolicella is located in the eastern part of Veneto, between Verona and Lake Garda, with its boundary demarcated to the north by the Lessini mountains. The area is characterised by a series of valleys crossed by ‘progni’ - small, torrential water courses - and is steeped in history and culture. Apart from attractive rural panoramas, visitors to the area will easily chance upon ancient parish churches, Renaissance villas and important examples of rural architecture.
Tenuta Santa Maria Valderde's misssion is to create the world’s most memorable Amarone red wine experience.
The cellar is a unique place offering the best view on Garda’s Lake and Tuscan-Emilian Appennini mountains. It is a place where the passions of wine, cycling and food are celebrated and blended.
Visiting wine lovers can visit the cellar and enjoy wine tastings and snack or an espresso drink, or embark on a world-class cycling excursion, all in the heart of Valpolicella.
The Santa Maria Valverde ancient tasting room is located at Tenuta in Valpolicella, just north-east of downtown Verona. Wine lovers can enjoy several unique tasting experiences at Tenuta.
