Château Cordeillan-Bages

Located five minutes south of the Pauillac harbour along the Gironde estuary, and 30 minutes east of the Atlantic beaches on the Bordeaux Route des Châteaux, you will find the only Relais & Châteaux in the Médoc since 1992: the Hotel Cordeillan-Bages.

Hotel Cordeillan-Bages is a mansion dating back to the mid-19th century with two of its oldest turrets dating back as far as the 17th century. Opened in 1989, the house has been a member of Relais & Châteaux since 1992 and sits in the vineyard of the owners, the Cazes family.

The hotel itself boasts 28 bright and inviting, newly refurbished bedrooms and suites all of which are modern, spacious and suffused with light. The hotel also boasts a 25m outdoor pool, a fitness room, a library, sauna and terraces from which you can quietly contemplate the vines whilst soaking up the verbena and pine fragrances that permeate the atmosphere.

The restaurant Café Lavinal is a Bib Gourmand. The two chefs offer a gourmet and tasty bistronomic lunch and dinner cuisine, created from locally-sourced produce. The wine list features over 1,800 wines, including Bordeaux Grands Crus and a very fine collection of wines from elsewhere.

Located close to the hotel is the delightful hamlet of Bages which is the perfect place to enjoy Médoc wines and the art of wine as a way of life in its widest sense. Tours of the nearby wine cellars and prestigious estates, wine tastings, water sports, and bike rentals are also available on request.
