Dalmatian cousine is an important part of Dalmatian tradition. People from the island of Hvar are growing vineyards and olives for centuries, and Hvar is known as a Lavender island.
When you visit the island of Hvar you will be awarded with a rhapsody of flavours no one can resist. This tour combines all the traditional flavours of the island in one day. You will try homemade olive oil, honey, wine and chocolate with a combination of fresh ingredients and Mediterranean fruits and herbs, such as lavender and sage.
Your day will take you to a number of fascinating spots where you will learn about the natural production on Hvar, famous for its lavender, wine, olives. “Did you know that Hvar rosemary honey was recently placed in the top 4 in the world?"
The tour begins with a drive through the green island of Hvar, stopping in the village of Brusje, where you will be able to try homemade honey and smell lavender and rosemary.
Continue the old road through the well known UNESCO protected vineyards, to an olive grove where you will try 3 different kinds of olive oils, together with olive pate and refreshing water with sage or mint.
In the wine cellar you will have the opportunity to taste 4 different wines together with a specific wine guide, who will describe the individual wines and provide all information needed with the island's finest local appetisers.
And sugar comes at the end. What is better than a chocolate? Try unique Mediterranean dark and white chocolate made with local herbs and fruits.
