Tour Overview
Visit three different wineries and enjoy premium tastings with this group wine tour in Barolo and Barbaresco from Alba, Piedmont.
Your day tour begins in the town of Alba where your driver greets you on a luxury 7-seat van.
Admire the Langhe hills and their panoramic wine routes winding through quaint villages and medieval castles of the Piedmont region.
Visit an off-the-beaten track winery completely surrounded by vineyards used for the greatest wines of Piedmont. The cellar tour goes inside the fermentation and aging rooms and ends with a generous wine tasting including the comparison of different types and vintages of Barolo wine, aged in large oak barrels (traditional style).
Continue in one of the quiet villages of the Langhe hills for some free time wandering around wine shops.
Enjoy a delicious light lunch (salami and cold cuts, a plate of cheese with honey and jam, warm focaccia and more) paired with wines at the second cellar you will visit, aged in toasted small barrels (French barriques). Get familiar with differences between Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
The town of Barbaresco is located on the eastern side of the Langhe hills with a unique micro climate and sun exposure.
The tour ends with the visit of a third winery and tasting of Barbaresco wine paired with more food.
