Tour Overview
Let yourself be enchanted by the Douro Valley: a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned wine-growing region, and for many, one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the world.
You will be picked up in the city of Porto and after a 90-minute trip, you will arrive in the village of Provesende.
The walk starts with a local guide in the village, where you will feel the rural life, have contact with the local people in the region and hear lots of life stories from your guide.
The route follows the small and narrow cobbled streets of the village, accompanied by the beautiful old manor buildings that recall the noble past of this place.
Then you will follow through the vineyard trails, where you can see the hard manual work of the people who take care of them and their family support.
On the way down, pass through the village of São Cristóvão where at least 50 people still live and continue to live the same way as their ancestors.
Arriving in the village of Pinhão and on the banks of the Douro River, take a private 1-hour boat trip and contemplate the beautiful landscapes of the Douro Valley. On-board you will also enjoy a nice brunch with homemade products from the region.
The tour ends in the village of Pinhão and return to Porto is not included, so if you want to return to Porto you can choose to return by train.
