Tour Overview
Dare to try some locally dried biltong, nibble on a traditional koeksister or sample Cape Town’s most flavoursome fish curry?
The Cape Town food and bike tour is a four-hour guided bike tour through the colourful, cobbled streets of the Bo Kaap (with an optional visit to the legendary Atlas Spices store), followed by cycle through De Waterkant, Green Point and the V&A Waterfront, sampling quintessential South African fare along the way.
You can sample cultural food at three stops. From Boerewors (traditional South African sausage) to Bunny Chow, South African cuisine easily excites any palate. The choices for desserts won’t disappoint either. Koeksisters, vetkoek, and malva pudding are some favourites of international visitors and locals. First, you'll visit the Instagram-worthy Bo-Kaap, where you can bask in the pastel-coloured houses and charming paved streets. The Bo-Kaap is one of the most historically significant areas in Cape Town, along with District Six. After, you’ll glide through the V&A Waterfront, a bustling neighbourhood and working harbour renowned for its world-class restaurants and shops. Green point and De Waterkant will welcome guests with open arms for an idyllic journey through their land.
This tour is one of the best ways to indulge in the local cuisine and experience Cape Town's culture. After all, a trip to South Africa isn’t complete without experiencing its culture and food!
