NOW BOOKING FOR 2022
English wines are currently the talk of the wine industry, so there could be no better time to take a wine tasting holiday in Kent, one of the country’s up-and-coming wine-producing regions. Join this three-night luxury weekend break and you will have the opportunity to experience English wines first-hand.
The weekend is timed to coincide with grape harvest season in September, which is an exciting time to visit the vineyards. When you’re not sampling the finest Kent wines, unwind in your luxury 5-star accommodation whilst a private chef prepares a delicious meal centred around local produce to be carefully paired with local Kent wines selected by the in-house sommelier.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Upon your arrival, enjoy a welcome cream tea in your accommodation followed by time to relax and unwind.
Early afternoon you will attend a small reception with a glass of local fizz down by the pool to meet everyone and talk about the itinerary for the weekend.
Then you will visit Woodchurch Vineyard for a wine tasting of core wines with the addition of some exclusive library wines and vintage verticals of the Blanc de Blancs. You will taste 8 wines in total, learn about the history of the estate and how to pick grapes at harvest that will go into making their award winning wines.
In the evening drinks and canapés will be served in the loggia, before a delicious three course dinner and Kent wine pairings.
Day 2: You will have a breakfast basket delivered to your accommodation.
You will be picked up and taken to Chapel Down where you will
learn the art of Sabrage, take a behind the scenes tour of the winery and enjoy an extended tasting of their wines.
Enjoy a 3-course lunch at The Swan, set in the vineyards of Chapel Down. You will be seated at the chef’s table in an elegant private dining room, elevated within the main restaurant, with direct views to the hub of the kitchen.
The afternoon and evening will be free to relax in your accommodation.
Day 3: After you enjoy the breakfast basket delivered to your accommodation, your driver will pick you up at 12 pm.
A nice lunch will be hosted at Herbert Hall overlooking the vineyard, with the option of charcuterie, cheese or vegetarian platter, made with delicious local produce served with freshly baked bread and crackers.
The wine tasting will include a flight of English sparkling wine, a vertical tasting of vintages, as well as time for a Q&A with the wine guide.
In the evening you will relax with drinks and canapés in the loggia, followed a farewell four course dinner and wine pairing, and a fun quiz to test what you have learned from the tours.
