Tour Overview
Step away from the crowds and discover the less-visited Napa Valley wineries of the Spring Mountain AVA on this private wine tasting tour. Spring Mountain is one of Napa Valley’s oldest wine regions and is home to a handful of boutique wineries producing predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon.
Over the course of the day, you will visit two of the region’s small wineries as well as enjoying the spectacular views overlooking the Napa Valley and the city of St Helena.
Stop number one is at Keenan Winery. This mountain estate is comprised of 48 acres of vineyard, and a historic stone winery, and has been producing wine since 1977. Sustainability is at the heart of Keenan Winery. The winery is solar powered and sustainably farmed and was one of the first to achieve the sustainable green designation.
Perched at the top of the mountain, the aptly named Pride Mountain Vineyards – winery stop number two - is a twisting 20-minute ride from St. Helena. One unique feature of the vineyard is the brick inlay that divides the crush pad into two counties: part of the winery is in Napa County, part of it is in Sonoma County! The Cabernet Franc at Pride Mountain is one of the best in the region.
A picnic lunch can be arranged for an additional $21 per person. This is a fully customisable Napa Valley wine tour with a friendly, engaging and informed tour guide. If there are alternative Spring Mountain wineries you would like to visit just let your guide know.
