Tour Overview
If you want to experience the most iconic Napa Valley wineries, look no further than this private wine tasting tour which visits three of the region’s most celebrated wine estates.
First stop of the day is Inglenook Winery: an historic estate with a chequered history dating back to 1879, but now proudly owned by none other than acclaimed film maker Francis Ford Coppola. His signature wine, Rubicon (a red Bordeaux style blend), is produced partially from grapes originally planted in the 1880's. The winery boasts impressive Infinity Caves that are carved into the hillside directly behind the Chateau.
The second winery you will visit is Beringer Vineyards, California's oldest continually operating winery that was established in 1875. After Prohibition, Beringer was the first winery to offer public tours, sparking wine tourism in Napa Valley. The Rhine House, Jacob Beringer's former residence and the current tasting room, is a showpiece of 19th century architecture.
Your final visit of the day will be at Charles Krug: the oldest winery in Napa Valley, founded in 1861, and home to California’s first tasting room which opened for public tastings in 1882. Charles Krug is owned by the iconic Mondavi family, who introduced winemaking practices to the Napa Valley that still influence the industry today. This winery is must-visit destination for anyone interested in the legacy of Napa Valley winemaking.
