Situated amongst the golden barley fields of Ross-shire, on the banks of the Dornoch Firth, in the Scottish Highlands lies Glenmorangie Distillery.

Here you will experience a warm Highland welcome from the legendary Men of Tain, the skilled craftsmen who ensure that Glenmorangie is created in the same unhurried and uncompromising way it has always been since 1843.

Inspired by the Distillery’s peaceful surroundings on the banks of the Dornoch Firth, its founder William Matheson brought forth a pioneering single malt whisky wonderfully complex and exceptionally smooth. Ever since, the distillery has pursued its craft with uncompromising dedication, endlessly creative in the quest for perfection.

To this day, the Distillery’s provenance is honored in their award-winning single malt. Its pure, smooth spirit is distilled in Scotland’s tallest stills, matured in the finest casks and perfected by The Men of Tain. And, in the hands of these select craftsmen, the guardians of its spirit, Glenmorangie will surely delight malt whisky lovers for generations to come.

Visitors will be able to appreciate the full range of Glenmorangie's whiskies and discover how they have been crafted. They will will be given unparalleled access to the Distillery and its warehouse, and learn all about the whisky-making process and Glenmorangie's role in the creation of its stunning whisky.

Book your winery experience

Accompanied by expert guides, you will tour the distillery and experience all the stages of the whisky-making process, from mashing and fermenting to distilling and maturation. You will find the tallest stills in Scotland nestled within the majestic Still House, affectionately nicknamed as Glenmorangie's 'Highland Cathedral', and learn about why they are so important in creating such fine whisky. Finally, you will learn all about how Glenmorangie has pioneered the art of wood management with the use of their different casks on a visit to the traditional earth-floored warehouses.

Tour times:
January - March; November - December: 10am and 2pm, Monday to Friday.
April, May, September, October: hourly from 10am to 3pm, Monday to Saturday.
June - August: every 30 minutes from 10am to 4pm Monday, to Sunday.

After enjoying the Original Distillery Tour above, you will be led to the Signet Room. Here you will sample the singular smoothness of Glenmorangie Original, before enjoying an intriguing sonic tasting of Glenmorangie Signet – one of the rarest expressions and undoubtedly the richest whisky in the range. This immersive experience will heighten your senses to bring alive the rich, dark layers of an exquisite whisky inspired by innovative ‘chocolate’ roasted barley malt and composed of an extraordinarily sophisticated assemblage of casks.
