Day 1. Arrive Rome  
On arrival in Rome make your way to your centrally located, 4-star boutique hotel. 

Day 2. Rome Food Market Tour and Pasta Making Class
We recommend a light breakfast at your hotel, as this morning you will join a small group, guided food tour of Rome with plenty of food tasting opportunities, followed by a pasta making class.  

Your tour begins with a guided tour of Campo de Fiori: Rome’s oldest and the most traditional market, located close to Piazza Navona. The market is packed with stalls selling typical Roman produce such as fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat and flowers. As you walk through the market your guide will explain about the history of Campo de Fiori. Stops will be made to sample the produce including some of the best Italian cold cuts, balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and pate and the famous Italian limoncello liqueur.

After the market tour continue onto a restaurant in Piazza Navona for a pasta making class. Learn how to create fresh pasta from scratch; choose your preferred pasta sauce and then settle down to enjoy the fruits of your labour for lunch, accompanied by a glass of local wine.

After lunch you are free to return to your hotel or continue your exploration of Rome independently.  

Day 3. Roman countryside wine tour in Frascati with lunch
Today you will join a small group for a full day tour of the wine growing region of Frascati.  

Frascati is part of the Castelli Romani or ‘Roman Castles’ and has been famous for its wines since the time of Ancient Rome. Your tour begins in the centre of Frascati where your local guide will explain about the history of Frascati. Your guide lives in Frascati and knows everybody in town, so you will be introduced to local artisans and shop owners and learn about local life.  

Continue with a visit to a beautiful artisanal Frascati vineyard. Take a tour of the 16th century farmhouse and winery accompanied by the winemaker. Learn about how the artisanal winemaking tradition has been kept alive by a devotion to traditional winemaking techniques, incorporated into the production of modern DOCG wines.  

Taste three wines: Frascati Superiore DOCG, Red Vagnolo IGT and Sweet Cannellino DOCG. Each wine is described in detail and is accompanied by freshly baked goods picked up from the bakery in the centre of Frascati during the tour of town, and delicious extra virgin olive oil. Sit and relax while sipping your wine in a beautiful setting with amazing views of Rome in the distance.  

After your time at the vineyard, you will be driven back to the centre of Frascati where lunch will be served in a charming osteria with your favourite wine from the tasting. After lunch return to your hotel in Rome.  

Day 4. Depart Rome
After breakfast, check out of your hotel.
