The Tili estate is spread on the hills that guard Assisi small town and its history dates since 1200 when the Tili family moved there from the North Europe. Wanting to make their winemaking expertise known all around the world, the family started bottling wine in 1978 and today they export their products to Japan, USA, Danmark, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden. Carrying the tradition and the family passion for winemaking they make their dreams come true.
So what other place could be more perfect for a winemaking course? This is your chance to become an expert on Organic Assisi DOC wine.
You start from the vineyards, and then move to the winery, where you will learn about organic winemaking, wine flavour profiles and at the end receive your certificate of Apprentice Winemaker!
You will attend a Sensory analysis of 5 organic wines Assisi DOC and Umbria IGT, which means that you will learn how to perform different tests on the taste, aroma, mouth feel and appeal of wines. This way of distinguishing wines is extremely important for experts to be able to decide on the prominent traits of the wine, some of which grace back labels.
The wine tasting is going to be accompanied by hot bruschetta with local organic extra virgin olive oil and fresh tomato, a selection of typical salami of Norcia, and Umbrian cheeses and typical sweets made in the winery's kitchen.
