Full-Day Douro Valley Private Wine Tour from Porto

Designated UNESCO World Heritage, the wine valley of the Douro region provides some of the most spectacular scenery in Portugal, and the sprawling mountainous landscape of the Douro Valley itself is perhaps the most beautiful of all.

Enjoy a leisurely tour through this magnificent countryside en route to Portugal's wine country enjoying stops in the charming town of Amarante, a quaint town and Pinhão surrounded by steep vineyards and with a riverfront full of Rabelo boats. The traditional train station where you can admire the iconic, vibrant azulejos (tiles) is also worth a visit! 

Feeling refreshed you will arrive at the first wine estate ready for a tour and tasting of their wines. The perfect way to start your day in the Douro Valley. 

After this visit it will be time for lunch. Here you have some options - you can choose to either enjoy a 3 course lunch at a winery paired with wines - a gastronomical delight, or, if you prefer we can arrange lunch at a local restaurant for traditional fare or, choose a modern , funky wine bar for a tapas lunch for a more casual setting. So many great options to suit you best! (Lunch options to be chosen once reservation is confirmed. Wine is included in all three options).

After lunch, continue to a second, renowned wine estate for another tasting experience including a tasting of the celebrated Port Wine.

Throughout this tour you will be wowed by the incredible scenery, viewpoints and endless vineyards climbing the hills and valley, wrapping around the famous Douro River.

After a day of gorgeous scenery and excellent food & wine, relax on the drive back to your hotel.
