Torres Vedras is a town very close to Lisbon, located in an area full of attractions: history, amazing landscapes and gastronomy. It is also one of the most important wine-producing areas of the DOC Lisboa.
The freshness of the Atlantic influence and the diversity explain the fame of the wines produced in this territory. With about six thousand hectares of vineyard area, Torres Vedras benefits from the diversity of its climate, soils and grape varieties which contribute to the production of real nectars.
When arriving at a prestigious wine cellar you will meet a local guide and viticulturist that will tell you about the history of the place that goes from an ancient wine press until the modern days with a fully equipped new cellar. Then you will continue the visit through the vineyards on- board a 4WD convertible car for approximately 40 minutes accompanied by your guide and viticulturist, to enjoy the hilly landscape of vineyards of great scenic beauty, to learn fascinating facts about grape varieties, vine growing, and winemaking, and to have a first wine tasting while enjoying the sun and fresh air from the region. This is a unique and exclusive way to visit one of the most beautiful vineyards landscapes of the Lisboa Region, the perfect place for a memorable postal picture.
Continue the tour going to an ancient “Lagar'' (old wine press house) surrounded by picturesque houses and gardens, to travel back in time and understand the old Portuguese culture of the winemaking process.
