
Tour Overview
Cape Town boasts a rich culture and cosmopolitan atmosphere, an exciting food scene and top-notch vineyards. This 5-day package is a fantastic introduction to the natural wonders, the unique traditional cuisine and the award-winning wines of Cape Town and the surrounding Cape Peninsula.
Day 1. Arrive Cape Town
Upon arrival at Cape Town International airport you will be transferred to your hotel in Constantia. The Last Word Constantia is a serene sanctuary tucked away in the verdant, storied Constantia valley, origin of South Africa’s most acclaimed viticulture.
The rest of your day is at leisure. Dinner is included tonight at the hotel.
Day 2. Cape Peninsula Exploration
This is an awe-inspiring tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. Magnificent beaches, breathtaking views, historic and picturesque coastal villages are to be seen along the way.
During the morning you will enjoy a Seal Island boat trip (seasonal, weather permitting), and travel along one of the most breathtaking coastal roads in the world to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve which has magnificent fynbos vegetation, birdlife, endemic antelope and zebra, historic lighthouse and shipwrecks.
After lunch at the Harbour House restaurant, you will visit the Boulders Penguin Colony which is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin. Final stop of the day is at the well-known Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. When Kirstenbosch was founded in 1913 to preserve the country's unique flora, it was the first botanical garden in the world with this ethos.

Day 3. Constantia Valley Wine Tasting Tour
Constantia is nestled beneath the Table Mountain National Park and has commanding vistas of the Constantiaberg and Table Mountain. The Constantia Valley is Cape Town’s vineyard, with a winemaking history dating back to 1685 and boasts eight award-winning wine estates.
Your wine tasting day starts at Groot Constantia, the country’s oldest estate which dates back to 1685 and is often referred to as “the birthplace of South African wine”. This is followed by the Klein Constantia. One of the Constantia Valley’s most charming wine estates, Klein Constantia’s beautiful Cape Dutch homestead and state-of-the-art modern cellar are set in lush gardens and surrounded by vineyards.
Enjoy lunch at Constantia Glen.
In the afternoon you will find visit the Beau Constantia, a boutique wine farm situated at the top of Constantia Nek overlooking False Bay. Thereafter proceed to dinner and wine pairing at La Colombe restaurant.
Day 4. Cooking Class
After breakfast you will head up to Table Mountain for a spectacular view of the city of Cape Town and its surrounds.
Back down in the city, transfer to the historic, colourful neighbourhood of Bo-Kaap in the centre of Cape Town for a unique cooking class experience. Lekka Kombuis celebrates traditional Cape Malay cuisine. Malay slaves that were brought to South Africa hundreds of years ago brought with them exotic spices like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and coriander. They added garlic and ginger to their meals and created a whole new world of culinary adventure. Today, their cooking is still characterised by these bold flavours and your cooking class today at Lekka Kombuis will introduce you to this mouthwatering cuisine.
After tucking into your Cape Malay creations for lunch you will be transferred to the beautiful 12 Apostles Hotel and Spa. Poised above the Atlantic Ocean, the 5-star boutique hotel is flanked by the majestic Table Mountain National Park, a World Heritage Site, and the Twelve Apostles mountain range. Relax in the afternoon before dinner at the Azure restaurant.
Day 5. Depart Cape Town
Today you will be transferred to Cape Town International airport in time for your departure flight.
