Domaines Schlumberger

Discover Domaines Schlumberger, between Colmar and Mulhouse, close to Switzerland and Germany, situated on the steep hillsides of the Vosges.

Created in 1810 by Nicolas Schlumberger, then developed by Ernest Schlumberger in the beginning of the 20^th century, the domaine's vineyard is unique in Alsace: 130 hectares with 70 hectares classified as Grand Cru.

The family vineyard has been established for more than 200 years. Nowadays two generations are working side by side: Alain Beydon-Schlumberger, 6^th generation, Severine and Thomas Schlumberger, 7^th generation. Custodians of that great family heritage they preserve it in the respect of thier culture and history, keeping a connection between tradition and modernity.

The estate is composed of 4 terroirs: Kitterlé, Kessler, Saering, Spiegel.

While making important investments in technical equipment (tanks, presses) a qualitative evaluation of the vineyard has also been carried out. Since 2003 all the estate is cultivated in sustained farming and in 2006 30 hectares are bio dynamically farmed.

The estate has a naturally limited yield in order to grant an excellent and irreproachable quality to each bottle. Production is only of 700.000 bottles per year.

Wine tourists will have the opportunity to taste Domaines Schlumberger wines. The wines can only be found in the best restaurants and good cellars 65% are exported throughout the world.

Wine lovers can also enjoy guided tours of the family estate, walks in the vineyards, mountain bike rides on the biking trail of Schlumberger vineyard.
