Winery Overview
Discover Villa Mangiacane Estate, nestled in the heart of the winemaking region of Chianti Classico, situated between San Casciano Val Di Pesa and Greve in Chianti.
Villa Mangiacane is set within 600 acres of flourishing vineyards and olive groves. The private estate produces three award-winning wines and a distinctive olive oil.
The diversity of soils and exposures generate different microclimates and guarantee the production of wines with great complexity and personality.
Whilst Mangiacane has been around for 500 years, it started premium wine production in 2001 and after extensive modernization, constructed a new cellar and planted the new vineyards. Wines are produced following an authentic Tuscan "Chiantigiano" style, representing a perfect mix of ancient tradition and modern concepts of winemaking.
Villa Mangiacane produces mainly Chianti Classico DOCG wines, but also produces IGT wines (typical geographical indication). The timeless passion and definitive traditions of the Chianti area, together with innovative viticultural and winemaking techniques, allow for the production of wines of exceptional quality and character.
The classic beauty of Mangiacane combined with its history, art, and idyllic countryside setting create the perfect base to explore Tuscany.
Visiting wine lovers can visit the estate, enjoy tasting of Mangiacane award-winning wines and olive oil and participate in cooking classes.
