Winery Overview
In the lovely, quiet village of Bolney, in rural Sussex (one of Britain’s most stunning southern counties), is the Bolney Wine Estate. A family run estate, Bolney has an array of awards under its belt from Decanter, IWC & IWSC. Their Blanc de Blancs won Gold Oustanding at the IWSC 2012 beating Champagnes and Sparkling wines and they were also awarded the impressive trophy of UK Wine Producer of the Year IWSC 2012.
Continuing the wine making tradition brought to Britain by the Romans 2000 years ago, this award-winning winery produces first class wines for visitors to sample and buy. With 40 acres to explore, you can enjoy a relaxing stroll around this magnificent place, explore the winery at your leisure and certainly indulge in a glass or two of top quality wine.
There are several tour options for guests to choose from which will suit any budget or occasion. All of Bolney’s tours include a walk around one of their vineyards to learn how the vines are grown, and then onto the winery itself to discover how award-winning wines get produced.
With an expert tour guide to lead you around the vineyard, wine novices and connoisseurs alike will learn all there is to know about wine and its production whilst tasting a selection of prize-winning wines.
A cafe at the property serves a delicious breakfast, light lunches, speciality teas, coffees and, of course, wine by the glass. Enjoy your lunch with some of the winery’s own wines and discover exactly why Bolney have bagged so many awards.
