Winery Overview
Stopham Vineyard specialises in white wine production from hand-harvested grapes grown on the 15-acre estate next to the River Arun in the South Downs National Park. The vineyard site was carefully chosen for its free-draining sandy soil, southerly aspect, low altitude, and beautiful location in an area of outstanding natural beauty in West Sussex.
Protecting and preserving the estate’s beautiful natural surrounds is central to the approach at Stopham Vineyard. Sustainability is important to its business, not just from an ethical perspective, but also to maintain a natural ecosystem that is best for the vines and, ultimately, the wine.
The state-of-the-art winery uses the latest winemaking technology to bring out the best of the estate-grown grapes and preserve the delicate fruit aromas of the wines. Stopham produces still white and sparkling wines that have received accolades from many leading wine journalists.
Enjoy a comprehensive, in-depth and fascinating tour of the vineyard and the winery, led by one of Stopham’s winemakers, culminating in a wine tasting of delicious wines.
