4-Day Picturesque Porto & Douro Valley Tour

If you love food and wine there could be no better place to spend a long weekend than Porto and the Douro Valley. This 4-day package is an enticing introduction to the region that will leave you wanting to return!  

Day 1: Arrive Porto
You will be met on arrival at Oporto International Airport and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city. There will be time to settle into your hotel and relax. In the afternoon your host will pick you up at the hotel and take you for a Port wine cellars visit in one of the most beautiful balconies over the city and the river. After the visit you will be invited for a traditional dinner at the cellar’s restaurant. Return to the hotel.

Day 2: Explore Porto
Your host will meet you at your hotel in the morning for a walking tour of Porto's historical centre. For lunch you will stop in Ribeira; the vibrant waterfront area where you can enjoy a leisurely lunch and soak up the city atmosphere. The afternoon is at leisure for you to continue your exploration.

Day 3: The breath-taking Douro Valley
Your host will pick you up in the morning from your hotel for a full day tour of the Douro Valley. You will drive along EN 222, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful roads in the world, to the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage Site: a scenic landscape of vineyard terraces and a winding river. You will visit the historic wine villages of Peso da Régua and Pinhão. Your first wine experience will be at a family owned estate with amazing wines and local food. After the tasting you will be welcomed for lunch by the estate owners, who will share all their passion for Douro and wine with you. In the afternoon embark on a river cruise. Relax and enjoy the calm of the Douro as you journey along the river.  After the cruise you will be driven back to your hotel in Porto. 

Day 4: Goodbye Porto!
Enjoy a relaxing morning at the hotel or spend time exploring the city before meeting your driver for your transfer back to the airport in time for your flight.
