Tour Overview
This private, full day tour combines the best of two unique Oregon wonders: waterfalls and wine!
In the heart of the Cascade mountain range and eastern stretch of the Columbia River Gorge is the relatively young, but rapidly growing winemaking region known as the Columbia River AVA.
Often referred to as “A World of Wine in 40 Miles,” the Columbia River AVA consists of a combination of climates, soils, elevation, and geology to produce some of the most varied grape varietals in the Pacific Northwest.
You will be amazed at the scenic beauty of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area as you visit several waterfalls including the most visited site in Oregon: Multnomah Falls.
Following the mighty Columbia River brings you into the fruit growing region of Hood River with wine produced similar to the growing region of Piedmont in Italy. You will visit two wineries to experience a diverse range of wine styles and varietals.
There will also be free time in the historic old town, Hood River, for lunch and shopping. This foodie town is home to boutique eateries and food carts offering numerous dining options.
Your professional tour guide will provide commentary along the way about the region's uniqueness with its history, geology and growing wine region while relaxing and taking in the incredible views of the countryside.
