Winery Overview
It is during the acquisition of the boutique hotel La Bastide de Marie, an 18th farmhouse turned into a Provencal Mas, that Jean-Louis Sibuet revealed a new passion: to create wine. He decided that the vineyard had to be renovated and together with cellar master Arnaud Bressy they restructured the winery. A wine cellar was built out of stone in 2000, in time for the first grape harvest. Today, over twenty hectares of vines located on the slopes and plateaus of the Luberon make up the Domaine de Marie in Ménerbes.
In the heart of the Luberon, through labour and passion, several French ‘‘AOP’’ (protected designation of origin) Luberon wines marked with the personality and flavours full of sun are produced each year.
The vineyards cultivated are divided between three different soils. Each soil has its own microclimate as well as its structure of ground and a different exposure. This variety enables the winemaker to play with the quality and the aromatic subtleties of each soil during the elaboration of red, rosé and white wines.
Come and enjoy the Provecal 'art de vivre' lifestyle and enjoy a stay in the heart of the vineyards at their beautiful boutique hotel.
