Tour Overview
Visit three châteaux and the fascinating medieval village of Saint-Émilion, accompanied by an expert wine guide. Taste the wines of a Grand Cru Classé château and enjoy lunch at a château.
Saint-Émilion (Right Bank) is a beautiful wine region with its vineyards planted on rolling hills around its medieval village. The properties are smaller here and many are still family-owned. It is known as 'the hill of a thousand châteaux' and it is important to visit some contrasting styles from the classified property where you go under the vines in limestone caves and another, which has been ‘organic forever’ and is run by the 14th generation of the same family today who you would meet.
Your tour includes visits to three châteaux and the fascinating medieval village of Saint-Émilion.
Visit and taste the wines of a Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émilion and then drive through the pretty region to lunch at a château overlooking the vineyards.
Instead of a third château visit (on different terroir of Saint-Émilion) there is an excellent tour of underground Saint-Émilion organised by the Tourist Information Office in English including the monolithic church and Saint-Émilion's hermit cave!
You will also have time to visit the fascinating medieval town and its cobbled streets and pass through Pomerol where Bordeaux’s most expensive wines are found including Petrus.
