Your Medoc Morning Wine Tour Itinerary
9.00 am: Meet your expert guide for the morning in the centre of Bordeaux. Climb aboard your luxury minivan and set off for the drive along the 'Route des Chateaux' on your way to the Medoc. Your guide is ready to share his wealth of knowledge on the appellations, terroir and wines of the region as you go.
10.00 am: Arrive at your first chateau of the morning; a beautiful Great Classified Growth estate! Enjoy a guided tour and find out all about the estate’s wine and how they make it. Wander through the vineyards, visit the vat rooms and the chateau’s cellars and learn about the wine making process, all the way from the vine to the bottle. Your tour will finish with a wine tasting of two of the estate’s wines. After your tasting, it’s time to climb back aboard your minivan for a picturesque 10 minute drive through the vineyards to your next stop on the tour.
11.15 am: Arrive at your second chateau of the morning, you’ll receive a warm welcome from the owners of this charming family-run estate. You’ll be led on a guided tour of the chateau where you will learn more about the main varietals of the Bordeaux region. The tour will end with a wine tasting of the estate’s wines paired with an aperitif of fresh bread, cheese, chocolate and other delicious local produce.
1:00 pm: After your final visit of the day, it’s time for the drive back from the Medoc. You will be dropped off back in the centre of Bordeaux at 1 pm.
