10.30 am: Your day starts in the centre of Bordeaux where you will join your small group for a 2 hr wine tasting class. This is a great opportunity to learn all about Bordeaux wines and learn to taste wine like a pro in a relaxed and friendly environment.
As part of your wine-tasting class, you will enjoy:
- A welcome glass of white and/or red wine
- A tasting of 4 wines from the 4 main wine regions of France (a ‘Tour de France’ of its wine regions). Learn about the diversity of its wines and understand the notions of "terroir" and "appellation".
- Learn how to blend wine: Bordeaux wines are blends made from various types of grapes including Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Taste each grape separately, and according to your own taste, create your very own cuvée!
- Enjoy an aperitif of traditional French delicacies including fresh bread and cheese and discover your wine-tasting profile.
12.30pm: After spending the morning learning about wine and tasting it, you will enjoy a picnic-style lunch at the 18th-century A la Francaise apartment in the centre of Bordeaux.
1.45 pm: After lunch, it’s time to leave Bordeaux and set off into wine country! Climb aboard your luxury minivan for the afternoon and admire the views of the vineyards as you drive to Saint-Emilion. Your guide is an expert in Bordeaux and St.Emilion and will provide you with all the information about the Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion wine regions as you go.

Your guide will lead you on a walk through the vineyards and a tour of the traditional vat room and the chateau’s cellars.
The tour will conclude with a guided tasting of the estate’s wines where you will have another opportunity to learn about tasting and training your nose to identify its aromas.
4.30 pm: After your first chateau visit, your guide will take you on to your second chateau of the afternoon in St.Emilion.
